Garnier Ultimate Blends: Sleek Restorer Review

Ultimate Blends is the latest line of haircare products to be released by Garnier. The Ultimate Blends range is made up of six different tailor made categories to choose from. Those include;

1. The Sleek Restorer- For dry or frizzy hair.
2. The Colour Illuminator- For coloured hair.
3. The Nourishing Repairer- For very dry or damaged hair.
4. The Marvellous Transformer- For dry or dull hair.
5. The Silky Smoother- For split ends.
6. The Shine Revitaliser- For normal hair.

Each category contains a shampoo and conditioner plus certain specialist products such as intensive conditioner, dry shampoo and hair oil. All of the Ultimate Blends products are paraben free and contain natural ingredients to make them smell amazing. In this blog post I'll be reviewing the Ultimate Blends Sleek Restorer shampoo and conditioner.

Shampoo

I have incredibly unruly frizzy hair which is prone to dryness unless I smother it in conditioner at least twice a week, so I thought that the Sleek Restorer products would be the perfect option for me to try out of this range and I was not wrong.

I enjoyed using the Sleek Restorer shampoo very much as a small amount goes a very long way. I used a small dollop of the shampoo and my incredibly thick hair was lathered up in no time at all. I was very impressed by this, because some shampoos don't really get the job done with my hair and I end up using so much in one use that I run out within a couple of weeks. This was definitely not the case here and I was very impressed with how little I had to use.

Another thing which impressed me was the beautiful scent. The Sleek Restorer contains coconut oil and cocoa butter which are the perfect ingredients for taming and smoothing frizzy hair. Not only are they perfectly at that, they also smell amazing together and leave your hair smelling fresh and clean for days after washing.

Conditioner

The Sleek Restorer conditioner compliments the shampoo perfectly. It has the same ingredients and the same beautiful long lasting scent. Much like the shampoo, the conditioner goes a very long way and still manages to make hair feel silky and soft without feeling weighed down and heavy after washing.

I like to leave the conditioner in for a couple of minutes before washing it out, just so my hair is left super soft and smooth. I was very impressed with the conditioner as it definitely made my hair feel tame, soft and hydrated. The conditioner is a very rich and creamy consistency but it also rinses out of the hair really well which is perfect for dry, frizzy hair.

Overall

Overall, I would definitely recommend these products to anyone who has frizzy or dry hair whether that be thick or thin. I am really impressed with the whole of the Ultimate Blends range as I really like how Garnier has released a range of products for six different hair types. There really is something for everyone. Also the price is really reasonable considering the quality is spot on. A 250ml shampoo or conditioner costs £2.79 and a 400ml shampoo or conditioner costs £3.89. So not only can you choose which products to use based on your hair type, you can also choose the size of your product. Hopefully soon I will be picking up some of the specialist products from the Sleek Restorer range to review for you.
